In hindsight (always 20/20) I wish that Kerry and other Democrats
seized his comment and would have taken it further:

Yes, we are stuck in Iraq. This was going to be a "shock and awe" quickie, with Iraqis welcoming us in the street. Instead we are stuck there with no end in sight, with Iraqis and Americans continue to die.

No WMD (perhaps with Bush in the background saying there were WMD and with a more recent one that he acknowledges there were none) no Al Qaeda - then, but there are now (with a photo of bin Laden replacing that of Saddam Hussein with the map of Iraq in the background).

Vote Democrats to start the painful but healing process of getting us unstuck.

Finish with a young uniformed Kerry morphing into a senator shaking hands with troops in Iraq - there is one, isn't it?
