1. This angers me so much
that some people care more about fetuses and embryos than curing diseases. Lot of religious freaks out there.

The sicko religious right would have no problem with that. The religious "right" is a blight on our nation and culture.

between the embryonic stage and the birth stage

most republicans care more about fetuses and embryos and petri dishes than they do about human lives.

i can't believe that we are on DU and are even discussing why.

supporting federal stem cell research is a progressive position. opposing it is the conservative position.

i could explain why, but why make the effort on a site like DU, where you should be agreeing with me?
