Another Republican failure: HAVA. |
|
Help America Vote Act.
As we have come to expect, this ballyhooed effort to look patriotic and responsible after the mess that was the 2000 election was just another way to rig the game and shovel our money to Bush cronies selling voting machines.
We may now use the numerous reports of voting problems with these machines as proof that, once again, the Katrina administration does not know how to do its job competently and honestly.

|
of how the repukes don't know the first thing about management.

2. Depends on how you define failure...HAVA is a success to Republicans |
|
It suppresses Dem voter blocks.

What it DOESN'T do is "Help America Vote." Ergo, it's a failure, though, of course you are right that it is a success for one party.

3. HAVA was a success for Repugs not a failure |
|
by installing many more electronic voting machines all over the place.
Let's work to make sure our numbers overcomes their hanky panky, happening no doubt at this very moment in multiple voting districts.

It worked for them, not for "America," which they claimed to want to "help."

6. I loved the George Will column blaming HAVA on the federal |

government. Oddly enough, I was under the impression it had something to do with all the Republicans in Congress. Seeing all the put-downs of electronic voting machines coming from Republicans in the last few days makes me wonder if they suddenly realized that they couldn't fix the elections this time around and decided to to spread doubts about the outcome ahead of time. They're still whining about JFK beating Nixon back in 1960!
