I live up in Maine....I was just talking with a business associate down in CT. After we wrapped up the business at hand, I asked him..."so who are you voting for today? Lamont or Lieberman". He said, "I'm on my way to vote now, but I'm really don't know, I'll make up my mind when I'm in the polling booth." I said, "Don't tell me you're voting for the Republican, ____" He said, no, I'm a Democrat, but I am not happy with either choice, but I really don't like Joe and Ned seems like a lightweight." I then proceeded to jawbone him with my 2 minute spiel why he needs to vote for Lamont...a real strong Democrat, that we can count on to vote in the Democratic caucus. We can't trust Joe, etc. He said..."ok, ok, I'll vote for Ned...just to make you happy." I said, "well, it's a start...now what about your wife." He laughed, but he said he'd talk to her about it. ________ is pretty apolitical which amazes me that any smart person can be so blase about the election today.
