"I feel like I did when I was about to give birth" - the short version

Last night I showed up at my local county Democrats office (Broomfield County Democrats) to put in a little volunteer time!

Dianne Primavera, the Dem running for House District 33 for the Colorado House was there. She has run a heck of a campaign in our very red district, and is now in a dead-heat with her Repub opponent. During the course of conversation about the anticipation and butterflies, she turned to her 21 year-old daughter and said "I feel like I did when about was about to give birth to you!"

Oh, I know how she feels.

I have butterflies in my stomach -- but it is a really good kind of anticipation.

I feel like throwing up. I feel like dancing.

I feel like beating someone up. I feel like hugging everyone I see.

I feel like running through the streets. I want to sit here calmly and meditate.

I want to scream! I feel like crying tears of joy.

I dread the results coming in. I can barely wait for the results!

I feel like I did when I was about to give birth!
