After seeing his smug face on Tucker, I was just wondering? Plus I needed a break from '06 predictions.

2. Or for marrying his cousin?
What about that one? He got an annulment from his first wife, and they claimed cousinship.

11. No, even the GOP knows that he'll be a problem.

The National Review's latest cover is a classic: Rudy Giuliani in drag. It is part of a greater story on whether Rudy can become president.

Kate O'Beirne writes that Rudy, while having a national appeal for what he did on 9/11, he still has those 'issue' problems to deal with.

Even now there are widespread Republican reservations about Giuliani. He has almost 100 percent name recognition, gets rave reviews for his stellar performance on September 11, and wins praise for his enthusiastic support of President Bush; yet about 70 percent of likely Republican voters don’t endorse a potential Giuliani candidacy for president.

Rudy's biggest problem is facing a Republican electorate that is much, much, much more conservative than he is. While he has a strong conservative core when it comes to fiscal issues, but he is way too far to the left when it comes to social issues like abortion and gay rights. The conservative Republicans (who truly control the party) aren't going to jump for joy if Rudy runs because he opposes much of what they support.

It is a good story (I read it in their digital edition). Definitely a magazine to get.

12. I think after Bill & Monica, adultery has ceased to be an issue...
Voters are smart enough to realize the personal life of
any person does not affect his leadership qualities.

13. I thought
He dropped out of the race against Hillary because he was at death's door with Cancer. Now he's running for president?

My gut was that he didn't want to lose to Hillary, but I thought he was ahead in the polls

14. No, he used having prostrate cancer
as the reason he dropped out. It was really low polling numbers because people were appalled when he told reporters he was divorcing his wife - before he told his wife. He also wanted to move his girlfriend into the governor's mansion though his kids still lived there. People already knew of the cancer and that he was being treated (presumably successfully for it.)

16. Well, Bush got a free pass on his (1) abortion; (2) ceo failures;
(3) Bin-Laden family business connections;
(4) military desertion;
(5) sleeping before 9/11
(6) attacking Iraq, instead of Saudi Arabia
(7) etc, etc, etc...

...so I guess the Corporate Media will give a pass to Guiliani and his adultery.

Conservatism has been tried and conservatism has failed!

18. Gingrich does
he is still treated as if anything he says means sh*t eventhough he has no credibility for a million different reasons. So, yeah, he probably will get a pass. He "stood strong" on 911, whatever that means.

Until he's a candidate, he gets a pass. Once he declares, the really ugly stuff will get national play.
