This from a guy, standing on a roof and having a conversation with me as I canvassed this morning. He wasn't the resident, his son was, but he told me that his whole family votes Dem.

I just liked the way he said that, as if to say that he was a workin' man, so of course he votes Dem.

1. From your headline, I thought something else was implied.
Glad I clicked in anyway, good story. :)

2. That Doesn't Sound Quite Right...
The way it was said makes it sound like Dems have dirty hands, i.e. are corrupt.

I know that's not what he meant, but it sure looked that way in print.

4. Just had to post on some thread today
to display my avatar. Alameda County, California threw out the Diebold machines for a Sequoia scanner. Glad to have a paper ballot available for a recount if needed.

8. Good One!
That will stay with me.

Here's one from the 1st Clinton campaign. A new citizen said, "I vote Clint. Put Bush in warehouse, put Clint in White House." 'I vote Clint' has been a favorite saying around here ever since.
