"I vote Democrat." He held up his hands. "See, my hands are dirty" |
|
This from a guy, standing on a roof and having a conversation with me as I canvassed this morning. He wasn't the resident, his son was, but he told me that his whole family votes Dem.
I just liked the way he said that, as if to say that he was a workin' man, so of course he votes Dem.

2. That Doesn't Sound Quite Right... |
|
The way it was said makes it sound like Dems have dirty hands, i.e. are corrupt.
I know that's not what he meant, but it sure looked that way in print.

See my DD-214, documenting 24 years of service to our country.
We are one helluva great bunch of Americans.

to display my avatar. Alameda County, California threw out the Diebold machines for a Sequoia scanner. Glad to have a paper ballot available for a recount if needed.

That will stay with me.
Here's one from the 1st Clinton campaign. A new citizen said, "I vote Clint. Put Bush in warehouse, put Clint in White House." 'I vote Clint' has been a favorite saying around here ever since.
