BREAKING NEWS - HUGE! From John Harwood, WSJ Senior
Washington political dude, covering the elections for CNBC, said:

He just spoke to GOP folks in on the ground, he said the reports FROM THE GOP people are that things are getting ugly for them, that Democratic turnout is WAY heavy in many of the places where they need to have a good showing.

I will add: If the news is bad for them for the House then it will be for sure for the Senate seats. Reminder that it is rare when the House changes hands and Senate doe NOT in that same year.

I can feel the wave, for a brief second, I thought the US map behind him turned ALL BLUE, but I was wrong, it was only 2/3 blue!!!

when we heard bush say "lot of votes to be counted in Florida" and he got that smirk we all know well. I said to my wife at 1:00am Iowa time he is going to steal this election and his brother will help.

Sure enough!

20. Oh gods, that horrible feeling
When the numbers miraculously flip at the last minute--and the news anchors say, "Oh dear me look at that--how unusual. Oh well."

That and "exit polls were wrong". SINCE WHEN? Ever since this corrup cabal has been in control--what a coincidence. :sarcasm:

:scared:

Must...neutralize...negative...thoughts...x(

6. Ok ... I just got goosebumps

...must. not. get. happy....

2004 destroyed much of my thinking of our democracy creating someone mostly cynical about the process, but somewhere in there a little light of hope does exist ... it's why i voted today and its why I am looking in to see hwo things shape out.

This news is terrific, but im not breathing easy right now.

PS--I would use environmentally-safe cleaners.

16. Editorial vs. news
Hey, Your assessment of the WSJ applies to its editorial side, but the news operation has a good reputation for fairness. Not sure that Harwood is biased just because he works for them; seems fair in his media appearances.

21. Mehlman on CNN preemptively saying exit polls skewed...
He said "Just ask "President" Gore, "Governor" someone who lost (I forget), and "President" Gore. Exit polls tend to be skewed in favor of Dems. Be prepared for a long night or differing results..." I remember the same slimey smile he had on his face in '04 when Kerry was winning according to all the exit polls and he said he just heard that the exit polls are wrong. He knew the fix was in. :eyes:

Absolutely no line at all, 20 voting machines only 6 had voters in front of them.

In 2004 the line was around the block with the same number of machines!
