Huge voter turnout

Some 70 percent of the registered voters will go to the polls today, according to Connecticut Secretary Susan Bysiewicz.

By comparison, 56 percent of the state’s voters cast ballots four years ago, Bysiewicz said.....

Bysiewicz said the state registered 86,000 people to vote between May 1 and Oct. 31. She attributed that to huge interest in the federal House and Senate races.

I don't know about you, but I have a really really hard time attributing that to Joementum.

1. 70%

is unbelievable in a mid-term election...hell, it's unbelievable in a Presidential election. I want to see the numbers before believing them, but if this does come to fruition then Connecticuit voters should be very proud for showing the rest of the world how to EXERCISE that good ole' democracy. Damn uppity Yankees at it again.

16. Yes. People see the world differently. I cannot understand why
someone would vote for Allen. I'm glad that I don't see the world in such a way that I would even consider Allen.

13. Putting all of his weird behavior aside,
it's so strange to me that Traitor Joe got as far as he did in politics. He is one of the least attractive and least charismatic people i've ever seen in politics.

7. It is important that Ned Lamont pin Joe Lieberman down tonight
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 04:45 PM by BlueManDude
what I mean is that even if Liebs pulls it out - it's imporatnt to not have him on all the cablenets pissing into our soup all night long. the cablenets will be watching this race closer than all the others and if liebs is able to declare victory early they will be twittering about how bad this is for the dems all night long. they will go with liebs victory speech live then he will do every fucking show on television and bitching about the "radical" dems and spewing veiled threats.

this night can not be all about joe lieberman.

11. Just can't fathom that much excitement for CFL Joementum.
Especially, if people are PISSED about the war and the failure of government, especially during Katrina and all the republican rubber stamping that Lieberman participated in. It's circular logic to believe people love Joementum the failed national candidate like Big Dog.
