2. Where are all those USMC absentee ballots? Bet they're ALL WEBB
Silver fucking Star, Vietnam vet, kid in the sandbox? How about all those USN ballots? Former SECNAV?

Anything under the margin of error, I'd DEMAND A RECOUNT if I were him. And I'd get the A team in there to oversee it.

7. Seriously! I agree...I even think it's "prudent"...not some...
..."spoiler" thing to do. When it's within those margins...and the alternative is a Repuke, well...

20. You asked for it. My fucking rant on the South and the Dems
You want to know who lost the solid south? Mean old Repukes in their Southern Strategy?

Bullshit the south was dominant Dems until the Repuke revolution buddy. Fucking GA voted for Bill Clinton for gawd sakes.

But the Dems had to sit on their ass and never address the gains the conservatives were making and never figured out how to deal with the wedge issues.

So suburban moms, black voters and lots of white voters in the more urban areas of the south who vote Dem and keep the margins in the south a lot closer than in parts of midwest and the west proper what do we get?

Do we get some help or a strategy?

Does anyone even give a flat fuck?

Oh hell no its all fuck the South. Forget that the border states are turning slowly but surely. Forget that Northern VA has more folks from Pittsburg than people who grew up in the deep south.

Oh forget all of that shit.

Just blame the lack of caring and plan on us. You got your scapegoat. I am right here bitch.

Until Howard Dean and his 50 state strategy I was just another abandoned Southern democrat. Fuck the South?

But you keep that attitude and the region will keep fucking you right back.

I live in Virginia...and I am very hopeful for the future...but
There are significant number of people here...predominantly men...who are idiots...

There are sections of this state that don't think the South lost the Civil War. It's a fact...

Webb did a great job, and it may not be over. In he comes up short he will be the prohibitive favorite to take John Warner's seat in 2 years...

Northern Virginia continues to grow and turn blue...its influence will only get larger as time goes by.

29. Allen ran the worst campaign in the entire country, is a racist,
supports a failed war, is thoroughly corrupt, and was opposed by a conservative war hero Democrat.

And they still voted for racism, corruption, and war.

And Virginia is supposedly one of the more civilized of the Confederate states.

Take away Northern Virginia, and it's the cast from Deliverance.

42. The Virginia Democratic Party has done a good job against this entrenched bigot
As far as I am concerned, the glass is more than half full in Virginia. Like Greg Palast said, to counter all the lies and robocalls and outright cheating and supression by the GOP, we really need about 55% to win any given election. If we only get 54%, our Virginia brothers and sisters have done very well in the face of the forces of hatred and sleaze. Carry me back to old Virginee!
