I voted for Hodes and he won - wow! Incredible about Carol Porter. Too bad our Repug senators weren't up this time around.

7. As a Mainer I'd like to say that New Hampshireites may be.. |
|
...cheap, but they're not mean. ;-)
NH, the Loebs excepted, was always the essence of old-school Republicanism. Civic virtue, frugality with the public purse, and such.
This half-assed 'Modern' Repbulicanism is really another critter all together.
I am not surprised to see the Granite State abandon the GOP.

I have to say I would have been sorry to see Olympia go. But Carol Shea-Porters win is very Sweet - Bradly is such a dufus.

16. What's more surprising is how the pundits ignored this race |
|
Shea-Porter was climbing fast in the polls and had developed a strong ground force that helped her defeat the DCCC pick in the primary. But the district was on everybody's safe-Repub list. The DNC should make a study of her campaign. I don't think it was just the wave that won the seat, though it was certainly a factor.

13. I was pleasantly surprised! |

And don't forget, Kerry turned NH blue in 04... so we've got a little streak going!
And you mentioned living in a blue state - would you believe that the reddest of all red states, Alabama, is electing good liberal Dems for the Supreme Court Chief Justice and Lt Governor as well? It's awesome!

I'm really happy that NH gets to be a part of the new Democratic majority in the House.
