wanna be 'balanced' bull, no R's would win a seat tonight, however, we accomplished a true MIRACLE because we had NO help, except our own rage, disgust, and determination with the deck stacked firmly AGAINST us...yes! It feels real good!

1. Well said. I keep thinking of Abraham Lincoln tonight -- |

"You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
How many times in my life I've seen him proven right. Like tonight. He was also a big supporter of the media, as absolutely necessary to a functioning democracy. He said he trusted the people to do what was right, so long as they knew the facts, which of course is the media's job to report to them.

I watched "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" last night for the umpteenth time, & the boys supporting Mr. Smith reminded me of all of us. In an effort to counter all the bought, negative press against Sen. Smith, the boys printed their own newspapers of support, & as they diligently tried to deliver them, they were maliciously attacked (a carload of boys was rammed off the street).
"Right" sometimes wins against the odds, but not often enough.
