Andrea Mitchell & Frum say Hillary Clinton needs to know "how to deal" with Big Dawg |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 01:00 AM by Sparkly
I'm not a supporter of Senator Clinton for president, but why the BIG problem with President Clinton standing beside her while she makes her own victory speech??
It's never SUCH a big deal for accomplished women to stand next to male politicians! Although, the more accomplished the women are, the more it's been cast as some "issue" for the men (Clinton is one example, also Dean). If a woman politician has a devoted, home-staying husband, THAT would be cast as an issue; yet if her husband is a star like the Big Dawg, it's "awkward" to have him stand there supporting her. Why?
Why can't he stand there and support her?!? More power to both of them!

bad to say about the Clintons and the only thing they could come up with was Bill standing on the stage . . . pathetic, ain't it?

5. Very pathetic, and I still say Tweety is out of control.... |

His "moderate" act totally fell apart tonight -- he just couldn't keep his frustrations from leaking out. (So to speak.)

6. I heard it. I don't think it was a chauvanistic comment... |

I think President Clinton just steals the spotlight. Frankly he does that in any company. He's big and attractive and charismatic and...one of the few presidents with any humanity. He upstages her. He'll be the focal point wherever she goes.
They may have to drape a sheet over him (tho' if it's a white sheet he'd be mistaken for a Republican).
