Miles to go before we sleep re: the Senate race, but my goodness what a great feeling it is that we finally have a seat again at the table of governance.
Our eyes have seen too much for us to be complacent in the face of the corrupt, valueless, and incompetent 21st-century GOP, and the so-called liberal media that enables it.
As I type this, I hear Chris Matthews laying traps for us all over the place, with the time-honored "Democrats don't have a plan" dig, as if the Republicans have been drumming their fingers, waiting for us to tell them what to do in Iraq.
Then, he characterizes speeches by female politicians like Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton as "fingernails on a blackboard." How, he asks, will she "do it without screaming, how does she do it without becoming grating?" Perhaps Tweety, too, is waiting for a Dem solution he can use.
I'd love to say that tonight changes everything. But it changes something, and it is a more promising America that we'll wake up to tomorrow. Good night and good luck!
