4. I guess he's "Still the One."
Unavoidable joke.

It looks like the Colbert Bounce helped him. ;)

6. DELAY'S SEAT!!
It's too bad I'm so new (brand new--I signed up an hour ago andthis is my second post) that I can't post anything.

Get the word out--CNN says that DeLay's seat has gone to a democrat!

!!!!!!

Can you believe that as late as a year ago the House was still Delay's stomping grounds?!

7. Congratulations! Fellow New Yorker!
Michael Arcuri won in my 24th District. First time in 50 years that a Dem is representing..

8. did you see his speech? . . . he ended it by singing . . .
an a cappella version of a song that Little Steven van Zandt wrote for his campaign . . . great moment, to say the least! . . .

it seems, however, that Sue Kelly has NOT yet conceded . . . she didn't even appear at her headquarters where her supporters were gathered, and her campaign is saying there are still 8,000 absentee ballots to be counted . . . every news outlet has called the election for John, though, so she's probably grasping at straws . . .

all I know is that, right now, my Congressman-Elect is John Hall -- and we haven't had a Democratic Congressman in this district since (I think) 1972! . . .
