How desparate was Santorum - tried to link himself to Ed Rendell!
I was campaigning for Casey/Rendell in Philadelphia and was sent to the Northeast in Philly. We ended up in the same district as some Santorum campaigners who were leafletting for a Santorum/Rendell voting strategy. Basically they were ceding the governor seat and hoping that some Rendell voters would crossover and vote for Santorum.

I had overheard that the Rendell campaign heard about this and tried to go legal with stopping it. I mean, Rendell was 110% behind Casey. However the literature was not only distributed throughout Philadelphia (Rendell was a former Mayor of the city and still quite popular there) but we even stopped at a polling place and they were handing out the literature to voters coming to the poll.

Santorum was desparate and I loved it. I feel like all my hard work has finally paid off!
