Hats off to all Pennsylvanians: +1 for the US Senate and +4 for the house
BTW, that's fricking amazing that four democrats managed to pick up US House seats in Pennsylvania because that state was horribly gerrimandered by the republicans. It should have been five seats but the negative ads that the NRCC was attacking Lois Murphy in PA-06 including corrupt robocalls might have cost her a victory over incumbant Jim Gerlach. But I am so excited to see how great Pennsylvania turned out yesterday and demanded change in Washington DC

2. Well that we knew was coming
Santorum was so desperate he was having his ilk lit-drop Santorum/Rendell literature which at one point the Rendell lawyers asked for them to 'cease & desist' since Rendell was in no way in support of Santorum.

BTW, congrats on your new democratic governor. Is Mitt returning home to Utah now?

3. Hail to my so-blue state!
The DumpRick campaign is successful, and now Swann can go back to signing footballs for money.

4. It's tight in my own district (PA-8)
After being behind for the latter half of the night, Murphy is now ahead, but it's still too close to call, and there's a very powerful Republican machine around here:

Penn. U.S. House District 8 Results (KEY RACE)
Candidate: Votes; %
Patrick Murphy (D): 125,667; 50%
Michael Fitzpatrick: * (R) 124,146; 50%
(from the Washington Post)

District 8 is now almost 100% Bucks County. It's a big old honkin' district, n'est c'est pas?

If Fitzpatrick wins, I'm going to be kicking myself for not having done more to unseat that weasel.

5. That one's over.
The shocker in PA is that it looks like Gerlach held on, but not Fitzpatrick. That was unexpected.

8. Lois Murphy Could have won with a little more money
Now we ask "what if?" If Hillary had freed up another one of her millions from her almost-uncontested money-devouring Senate re-election race, what other Dems could have been victorious?

Lois Murphy certainly was within reach of winning - she also came very close to winning twice before for this seat.
