CA SOS Switches to Dem!
Bowen: 48.5%
McPherson: 44.7% (Ahnie appointee)

EXTREMELY important race as it will allow us to get Diebold OUT of California.

7. Outstanding!!!
I sent e-mails and made phone calls to every one I know in CA that MIGHT possibly vote trying to convince them to vote for Bowen. I know it wasn't much but every little bit helped, apparently.

9. Oh, my!
Oh, my, oh, my, oh, my... When I went to bed I was so happy that we had taken not only the House but the Senate too (and glad to see that holding up this morning). The only bitter pill was it looked like Bowen had lost. I must not have checked to see the # of precincts reporting. In bed I was thinking about what our new Atty General Jerry Brown would have try to do about Electoral Process Corruption in CA.

Now THIS!

This is all so wonderful. So so wonderful.

15. Agree 100%, LeTaz...imo, this was THE most important race to secure elections
ahead of 2008. She will be an ENORMOUS ASSET to the entire Dem party, and eventually more people will come to realize that.

I am confident that she will do what is needed to restore confidence in our voting systems.

And she's a sharp dresser.

19. Oh, GOD, that's a relief!!!!
I went to bed last night rawther disgruntled about that. I've heard from many corners that the bad guys were targeting California next. And you've got to know the rovians would LOVE to pick this largest and juiciest apple.

Guess somebody just threw a monkeywrench into the flying monkeyworks. Bowen! YESSSSS!!!!!!! Checks AND balances!

20. I know - I was up till 2 EST waiting to hear about Bowen.
It was SO CRUCIAL for her to win.

The GOPs use California machines to rig the popular count, knowing they can't steal iit outright because no one would believe it. But popular count helps them prevent challenges every bit as much as untraceable programs.
