My daughter has a French friend who had said that this election

was America's last chance to stop being stupid and stop Bush. And he's not the only one--I heard this from talk radio too.

Well we've done it--we've not only helped save our country, we've helped salvage our reputation around the world. Now they know that we are not on board with this president--not anymore.

1. I'm getting calls

today from friends in France, England, the Netherlands and Spain congratulating me -- and my fellow Americans, as my friend Raphael so sweetly put it -- for being smart and stopping Bush dead in his tracks.

It's nice to be thought of as smart again, you know?

2. I leave for Morocco and Spain on Saturday. I'm SO happy..

that we won the election, that we showed the 'civilized' world that WE THE PEOPLE do not support this imperialistic, fascist, regime!
