Me thinks Karl is slipping |
|
I know * is saying firing Rummy is not political BUT...
If they had gotten rid if Rumsfeld two months ago, they could have campaigned on a new direction in Iraq. Hell, they wouldn't even have to have a plan, just the idea of a new plan. Thousands of Amuricans would have bought it. That may have been enough to swing a few seats.

2. Well, Bush would not have gone with it, they probably brought it up to him |
|
He probably stopped them even exploring the ideal, good for us that he did not.

4. * just asked, "Do you think I'm nuts. Do you think I lost it on the campaign |

trail?" (May not be exact but close.)

6. We're not out of Karls clutches until Jan 20. Then a new |
|
chapter targeting Dems will start up.
He will be kept busy trying to cover up all their crimes whether it is Congress or international courts that go after his boss and his bosses boss, Dick.
And Libby's trial starts in January. Should be interesting.

Lets hope for some more intrepid investigators and prosecutors.

7. Rove wanted to keep Rummy around |
|
because it would show Bush is "resolute" and "loyal" and would fire up their nutty base by watching Bush continue to thumb his nose at all their detractors.
Except it didn't work. Rove's plan requires that their partisan base turn out to vote. They didn't this time, or if they did, they voted against the Pukes.

8. His only skill/trick is using the other guy's words against them. |
|
The only chance he had during the campaign was Kerry's gaff. Kerry wasn't running. The Dems figured him out, they used it against Allen.
