8. Kos has a Thank you thread about Dean and the 50 state
strategy

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/11/8/115517/642

Chairman Dean,

I can trace the beginnings of the Dem victory last night to your election as party leader.

Many made fun of you. They were wrong.

They said you were too verbally undisciplined. They were wrong.

They said you were too liberal. They were wrong.

They said you were too unapologetic. They were wrong.

Your 50-state strategy -- which many scoffed at -- placed the Republicans on the defensive in once safe districts, forcing them to allocate resources over an increasingly large electoral terrain. The Republicans could no longer pour superior resources into a few seats making them harder for Dems to win. Look at where we won last night -- Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky and Kansas. This indicates your strategy works.

9. Haven't you heard?... Rham did it all by himself....
with a little help from Schumer... :sarcasm:

Dean deserves a lot of credit for that 50-State strategy of his. I'd love to see him on TIME's cover. It would piss off all the right people.

10. Time magazine isn't going to pick Howard Dean.
I think it is possible that they pick something like "The Resurgent Democrats" or "The American Voter" or the like, because this is one of the biggest stories of the year. But I find it hard to imagine they would pick one Democrat for special recognition, especially Howard Dean.

14. It was a joint effort by Dean and Emanuel that equaled success.
But I could see Nancy Pelosi's historic rise to House Speaker being singled out for Time Mag.
