1. looks like we got MT, waiting on VA
However, with electronic voting, there is little likelihood that 8000 votes will change.

Call it ours... Or so we hope...

formality. all VA areas in and Allen cannot make up the 8K now
separating them. Last VA recount changed the votes by 27. If anything, Webb will increase.

5. I called it last night
it is ours... PERIOD

There is little they can do in VA to flip it, and Senator Webb is calling it ours too.

He is forming a transition team.

The media will take as long as it can... hope we take our eye from the ball

6. We won Montana, and we're probably going to win Virginia.
So the end result will be 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans, and 2 independents: Jeffords (who reliably caucuses with the Democrats) and Lieberman.

I doubt Lieberman will do anything stupid like caucusing with the GOP - he knows the Bush Administration is a sinking ship, and he was promised seniority and maybe a chair in the Senate if he plays ball with the Democrats.

We've GOT IT!!!

9. Jeffords
I thought Bernie Sanders won the seat that Jeffords vacated.

7. Yes, we won the Senate.
We've taken Montana and Missouri, making it 50/49. Once Virginia is called for us--and it will be, Webb is announcing his transition team later today--we'll have the Senate, 51 to 49.

12. Even if he causus with the Rs
given that Sanders will caucus with us, he is wtih the minority

And you think he will do that? Be honest... if nothing else he is a political animal... will not surprise me if he begs to come back to the party

15. Huh? How ya figure that?
With Lieberman, we're 51/49. Withut him -- if the Repubs offer him some sweet deal and he changes party -- it'll be a 50/50 tie, Cheney's the tie breaker, and Repubs keep control.

Somebody please tell me if I'm missing something. Nadin is not the first to think we don't need JL for a majority. God knows I wish we didn't!

10. Dems have the senate, the house, the governorships...
The entire legislative branch. Officially Ex Senator Whiney Macacadunce is demanding a recount. But he's toast. As are any presidential ambitions he ever harbored.

Let's thank Mike Stark!!!

They're giving a really bad name to a legendary comedy team! :P
