Larry Johnson seems to think Gates (Rummy's replacement) has some 'splaining' to do |
|
'The press has forgotten that Gates, during his time at CIA, acquired a reputation for trying to tailor intelligence to satisfy political masters in the Reagan White House.' Sounds familiar. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-c-johnson/bob-gates-hes-back_b_33660.html

3. Should be a rollicking confirmation hearing |
|
And if the Republicans don't get to it in the next six weeks (and Thanksgiving week is probably off the calendar), then it will be a Democratic committee chairperson conducting the hearings.
Think Gates is going to sit still for that? Start digging, muckrakers. Let's make sure the Democrats on the panel have something pertinent to ask Mr. Gates.

4. Wasn't he the head of CIA who MISSED the oncoming implosion of the USSR? |

Why should he be trusted to oversee anything? Plus I seem to recall he also was involved in whitewashing George H. W. Bush's role in Iran-Contra ?
