Is anybody following the Tester/Burns results?
The Montana SOS provides information as a huge unreable klunky pdf file, the last version of which showed Burns leading Tester by over 10K. In that version, one needed (I think) to look at the top several lines on pp 1, 10, 19, 28 (under the county names, totals for Tester, Jones, and Burns -- in that order), but they've now pulled it from their website without making a result available. The SOS, of course, is a Republican.

From 2000 census data, I'd guess the important counties are likely to be

Cascade
Deer Lodge
Flathead
Gallatin
Jefferson
Lake
Lewis and Clarke
Missoula
Park
Ravalli
Silverbow
Yellowstone

5. Yeah, SOS just posted unofficial results from all counties, according to which
Tester is ahead by 1698 votes. But an hour ago, I looked the pdf file they posted and they had Burns ahead by about 12000 votes. In matters like this, I try to maintain a healthy paranoia.

6. Montana SOS has portions of the website working that weren't working
when I posted: their data shows (after arithmetic) Tester 48.97, Burns 48.47, a bit closer than the results posted at tpmcafe
