Will Any Republicans Defect Now?
I seem to recall that after the 1994 Republican sweep, some Democrats switched parties.

Do we think any moderate (sensible) Republicans might do that now?

If so, which ones?
And, do we want them?

1. Many already have, like me!
You would be surprised how many already have. This article sums up my position almost exactly:

http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?BRD=1459&dept_id=155743&newsid=17284084&PAG=461&rfi=9

"That's why, in the absence of so-called traditional Republican candidates, the choice comes down to right-wing Republicans or conservative Democrats. And now you know why we have been forced to move left."

I voted straight Democratic yesterday for the first time in my life. In addition to my disgust with this waste of resources that is the war in Iraq, the above article cites my dissastisfaction completely.

3. I Meant Politicians
we always welcome voters.

Votes are earned each election and should never be taken for granted by either party.

I mean politicians. If a Repub Senator or House member indicated he/she might come over should we offer a sweet deal to entice, say "you made your bed, lie in it."

Stick around a while and learn about us, the demonic libruls.

What we want is not necessarily what some say that we want.
