Kucinich and Paul got landslides despite everything the hawks threw at them. Also, Woolsey, Filner and other peace candidates had to fight off the Bush Administration and easily won. We owe all the candidates who won on their opposition to war a big thank you.

1. Go Dennis!
Was there any doubt that he would win big?

NO WAR WITH IRAN: KUCINICH AND PAUL LANDSLIDE TO VICTORY
by the Creative Youth News Team.

11/7/06:
Dennis Kucinich landslided to victory with approximately 70% of the vote. Despite $2.4 million GOP funds for TV ADs, GOP mailers that included pictures of Osama and GOP claims that electing DK would result in a terrorist attack, and opposition from the GOP Cleveland Plain Dealer, Dennis proved that he is invincible.

In Texas, the Democrats put up a pro-war, anti-gay, anti-choice "conservative" Democrat against Ron Paul in the hopes of getting the right-wing Republcan vote. The strategy backfired when Democratic Groups, such as the Patrick Henry Democratic Club of America, got the word out that Paul had a more liberal voting record than Nancy Pelosi. The resulting landslide (above 60%) for Ron Paul from a coalition of Democrats and and Republicans who wanted to stop the war shows that the nomination of Conservative Democrat Shane Sklar was a bad move on the part of the Democrats. Democrats did well in the Congressional races elsewhere and even beat Lincoln Chafee, one of the less conservative Republicans, in Rhode Island.

Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul are the leaders of the opposition to the war with Iran. They also led the opposition to USA-PATRIOT and to the war with Iraq.

There is considerable grass roots encouragement for a Presidential ticket of Kucinich-Paul in 2008. Neither Congressman has expressed any interest in such a pairing as of yet. Now that they have beat big money with landslide victories in their respective Congressional races, will they bring their message of peace, freedom and restoration of jobs to America through a Presidential election landslide in 2008?

3. Why would Paul pair with Kucinich?
Kucinich is a socialist and Paul is a libertarian

It makes no sense.

4. The better question is why would Dennis pair with Paul?
Both agree on peace, civil liberties and opposition to free trade. They are the only two members of Congress who voted against all four bills to invade Iran.

5. There were FOUR bills to invade Iran?
I didn't know there was even 1.

Do you know the roll call vote #'s?

Ron Paul is not opposed to free trade, by the way. He is opposed to free trade agreements, but he supports free trade in principle, with no restrictions. So he definitely doesn't agree with Kucinich on that.
