I find myself in NO MOOD for bipartisanship.
The afterglow is wearing off. The bubblie's gone flat. My heart rate is back to normal. The final congratulatory cigar is a crushed butt in the ashtray.

I'm back to feeling not only the anger so assiduously accumulated and nurtured over the last six years, but something new as well.

It's called empowerment.

Just tell the motherfuckers to get out of the way.

Maybe, after the swamp is drained and the mud hauled out, maybe after they get a taste of the shit they've been feeding us, maybe after they start to 'get it', maybe, just maybe, I'd be willing to reach across the 'gator-infested moat that passes for an aisle these days.

My sense is that will take some time. Maybe a year.

For now ...... fuck 'em.

1. I figure, why be bi-partisan at all? fuck em. Bush has veto power
so we will pass the things we promised, and if Bush wants to be the asshole and kill them, he will.

3. I agree
That was pissing me off. These folks were elected into office to claim some scalps.

4. We need to be careful with the olive branch...
The Republicans are quite capable of taking it and using it to beat us to death with.

Never trust people who've spent the last several years measuring your back to determine where best to place the knife.

Investigations first. Dig out the corruption in Congress. Leverage them against one another. Expose their lies. Force those we can to cooperate, skewer the ones that won't.

Strategy, my friend. And tactics.

6. Funny how many times the squatter in chief used that word today.

9. Ditto.
I don't care about revenge, but the Punks should be treated as neutered bystanders while the heavy lifting gets done. The dirty underhanded tricks they pulled on the minority party for the last few years have been unconscionable, reprehensible and unforgivable. We don't require their help to right the ship. They can stand there and watch while wallowing in their own irrelevance.

10. Agreed. It's going to take us a long time
to successfully drain that swamp. In the meantime we have no reason to cooperate with the swamprats.

By the time we're done, they'll be gone and bipartisanship will hopefully mean something again.

11. Agreed.
What goes around comes around, and they don't even deserve common courtesy IMO. Their calls for working together now are pretty damn funny.

13. I have such contempt for the repubs I couldn't even be in the same room
with one of them. They've destroyed our country and trashed the Constitution and enjoyed every minute of it. They belong in jail. Period. The only thing I would discuss with them is how long the prision sentence.

14. Norquist has already shot his mouth off about that
and sworn there will be no bipartisan cooperation if he has anything to say about it. We can only hope his time for oration is short, as the Abramoff investigation nails him to the wall.

Lamebawl has also said it, proving he gets his orders from Norquist, not Rove.
