Bush last week said Cheney and Rumsfeld were staying on after the election
And the morning after the election, he canned Rumsfeld.

Has anyone seen Cheney lately?

Hmmmmmm.

7. I can't believe that Bush is really that dumb!
If he was planning to get rid of Rummy anyway, why not do it at the most opportune time? That could have been the October surprise. I'll bet there's a lot of Republic operators that hate him as much as we do right now.

14. They have got to be FURIOUS
Some of these close races could have gone Republican if Bush had gotten rid of Cheney a week ago. These folks must be fit to be tied.

I heard one commentator say today that Bush's base "got played." Bush let them think that he was keeping Rumsfeld in order to get them to stay on the reservation when he knew all along that he was going to can him right after the election.

10. In 2003, Bush said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.
He was also connected with Al Queda.

He said he would hunt down Osama bin Laden. He said he would "stay the course," and "Mission accomplished."

Nothing he says is true in fact.

15. Well, Rummy did stay on after the election -- for about 12 hours.
But it won't be easy to get Cheney out of his spider hole.
