Time for The Kill
Democrats Must Attack George W. Bush as Never Before

Don't let them kid you. BushCo is shaken to the core. To paraphrase Mike Tyson, they were hit in the mouth so hard, it changed the way things taste.

Karl Rove can lose elections, after all. Everything they held dear and thought they knew has been rejected. Rumsfeld and Hastert have been thrown to the wolves. They are adrift, in search of a harbor of co-operation. Don't let them find it.

Investigate, threaten impeachment, maybe do it. Put them under oath. Turn them against each other.

Ram home again and again each and every failure. Make their incompetence so obvious and pronounced, they begin to hate themselves. Drive Bush's approval ratings to single digits. Make the next two years a living hell.

Rout and humiliate them until Republicans can no longer look you in the eye.

Let the Bush presidency be looked on as a disaster for years to come. Don't let them off the hook for one single offense.

Do this, and Democrats benefit for at least a generation.

Make nice? I don't think so.

1. Let the investigations begin NOW!
Below I've included contact information for Representatives Pelosi, Waxman and Conyers. These three are pivotal to an investigation of the Bush/Cheney criminal cabal.

Many times I have heard radio talk show host Thom Hartmann and his frequent guest, now Senator, Bernie Sanders say that personal communication with our elected officials is very effective. But letters and phone calls mean more than a quick email.

We need to demand an investigation into the following:
• Bush administration prior knowledge of 9/11
• A new, independent and thorough 9/11 investigation (see www.st911.org)
• The Downing Street Memo and 'fixed intelligence'
• War profiteering
• NSA spying
• Election fraud in 2000, 2002 and 2004
• Cheney's Energy Task Force
• NSA spying/wiretaps

There's no time for this wimpy 'let's play nice' crap when we have criminals in our White House.

2. Make fixing America the first priority. Keep them on the ropes with investigations. Impeach if/when
they obstruct our pro-middle class/poor agenda.

13. America is the first priority, that's why impeachment is necessary.
Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 10:11 PM by mother earth
If they aren't held accountable what does that say about us, what does that say about the people in this country wanting honest elections & honest gov't? A spine is a terrible thing to waste! It sure the heck is NOT time to make nice, this was a wake-up call for a reason. Let's get busy!

3. Bush is very angry at Rove (no surprise)
When Bush makes a public high profile crack like "I was working harder than Rove", it is not just joking around. Like his nervous little stifled laughs, it is his way of masking his anger, and Bush is known for anger.

4. That's only HALF of the equation - I agree with you though.
The other half of the equation is making America really safer. Roll back the tax cuts for the rich so we can start paying our National Debts. Universal Healthcare. New Orleans reconstruction. Fiscal Responsibility. etc. etc. etc.

We need POSTIVE stuff too - there are many people out there who are sick of the negative stuff - they want to see postive things.

So, it's a tightrope act, but we gotta make sure we don't fall over and let the criminals get away with what they've done these last 5 years.

6. Make nice no..make accountability the new norm
however; Dems need to show how true Congressman and Congresswomen run the office of this country for the the people of America...

I agree there must be investigations in the following:

Iraq and war profiteering
The meeting Cheney had with the Power industry
The Downing Street Memo
Katrina
Medicaid

and the list goes on.....

We don't want to become the bullies...if this is done right and the truth comes out Americans will demand Impeachment...just as they did with Nixon...

21. reclaim words they have mangled for their own use
and since we are in a better position to set the agenda, i say we reclaim words like 'homeland security' to make them really mean what the two words together really do mean and not a smokescreen for melting away our freedoms. show that "liberal" is a fine word. and that the poor matter too and we'll never fail them like they did in new orleans.

I'm getting so sick of this "I hate Bush more than I love America" crap.

Don't let the MSM convince you that politics is all about power-mongering and revenge. There are more important issues, even if they don't want to cover them.

If we don't go after them out of fear of appearances our decency will drag us down.

The Republicans aren't lying upon the ground. These are the richest, most powerful, most ruthless people on the planet.

Do you have clue one who we are dealing with?

They don't believe in democracy, or a free press, or even a middle class.

They have transmogrified the concept of 'Divine Right of Kings' directly through Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged and on into this scorched earth justification of classism in America with the supply side, "they give us our jobs", "corporations don't pay taxes they just pass them on", "spend as much as you want on military because I'm a patriot", "you're poor because you are an idiot" mentality that the right wing uberlords have sold a bunch of idiot, suburban white C students like Sean, Brit, Mann, Neill, Kristol, etc etc etc.

Righty ain't the underdog. Not even a noble opponent. Because we aren't fighting the individual human adversary here, because, with righty, their ideology overwhelms their individuality. Elsewise, how do you explain their ostentatious dishonesty?

You've read and heard their incredulous disregard for honest discourse over the past six, no, twenty-six, years. And you know they either believe the most obvious of lies to justify their ideological belief system. Or they don't believe the obvious lies, even worse, yet will lie in your face, simply to promote a dishonest ideology.

Either way, we need to keep our foot on their nape and apply pressure til the neck snaps.
