NO EXCUSE NOW!! PAPER TRAIL IN 2008. Please don't allow ourselves to be complacent now. |
|
Please. There is NO excuse for not passing legislation for all voting machines to have a paper trail for 2008 elections.

1. Actually I think it goes further than that.. |
|
Voting machines must be taken out of the for profit public arena.....
The machines must be designed and built by the government The machines should have even higher standards than most devices.... The machines must have paper trails The machines must be audited before and after elections The code must be reviewable by the public
I could go on and I am sure other DU'ers have other ideas.
as long as the machines are privatized there will always be cheating...

3. more...currency is printed by the private sector |
|
the federal reserve is a private consortium of banks whose exact membership is not publicly known. And we are just about to be screwed by their disaterous inflation of the money supply. They've doubled it since 2000.

4. I do hope that Pelosi and Reid make Voting reform their 1st order of business. |

We have a unique moment where this would have 100% bi-partisan support. Neither Party or the people want to think their democracy is stolen. I really think this would be an excellent bi-partisan billto start the new Congress with. Let's create the momentum now.

I'm sure they think we "stole" VA. Maybe now the time is right to have them help us put all this electronic voting craziness to bed.
