Grover Norquist Advises No Compromise, Predicts Governing Via Exec Order
snip>
"When we want to go up and they want to go down, we want to go right and they want to go left, there's no compromise," said anti-tax activist Grover Norquist, a close advisor to the White House.

Norquist said the Republicans' primary goal for the next two years should be making the case for GOP control — not bipartisanship.

"Nancy Pelosi will do for the Republicans what Clinton did for the Republicans — become the lightning rod to explain that their congressman who they thought was a reasonable guy was really a left-wing wacko," he said.
.....
Norquist predicted that Bush would now govern largely through executive orders rather than working with Congress on legislation. The president could, for example, use orders to lighten the load of capital gains taxes by changing how they are calculated, Norquist said. One other possible executive order, he said, could excite conservative voters in time for the 2008 election: putting the late President Reagan on the $50 or $100 bill.

8. If * does govern that way, it will be seen as seriously over-reaching.
And the GOP will be total toast!

4. Funny - I Predict the Same Thing
Those executive orders and "signing statements" are pure dictatorship, and are as flagrantly anticonstitutional as anything that any President has ever done. Too bad nobody really seems to care.

10. I'd sure like to see some legislation...
that would make these signing statements unlawful.

6. This piece of s***?
"Grover Norquist From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Grover Glenn Norquist (born October 19, 1956) is the president of the noted anti-tax lobbying group Americans for Tax Reform, and a conservative activist. His close business and political ties to recently indicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff are the subject of a current federal investigation." Maybe he could be subpoena'd to testify before some Congressional committees as to his involvement with Abramoff and other corrupt activities. That should keep him happy and occupied for a while.

because you are headed there you treasonous piece of shit. He will find out the American people are tired of this. A part of me hopes they act like that because that will make the road to bigger majorities so much easier in 2008.

It's so disgusting to see that man even draw a breath let alone utter words.

W has never worked with anyone but the Congress who out of fear rubber stamped him, only against everyone.

15. Ben Franklin will rise from the grave and kick Shrub's ass if that happens
I don't care how great some people think Saint Ronnie was. He's not even close to being in Benjamin Franklin's league.

16. W keeps it up and he will need security forever
to protect him from the American people whose interest he's hurt.

My rich fiend who has profited completely from his presidence would be out there applauding, but she's one of the few who have benefited from W and she would ware sunglasses and a scarf because she knows her tax cuts came from social cuts.
