(I'm paraphrasing, except for last part)
"If Virginia voters have their way, Senator Allen won't be able to use the word 'Senator' in front of his name. He'll go back to 'Imperial Wizard'"

1. I'd like it better if it weren't Leno. |

He'll probably cry himself to sleep tonight.

4. His political humor was scathing back in his salad days |
|
when he'd play colleges on good nights and Elks Clubs on bad ones. He was left of center in New England, anyway.
He only got soft and squishy when he went to Los Angeles and NBC. I'm sure he's got some suit breathing down the back of his neck and making sure every joke about the lunatics and thieves in the GOP is "balanced" with a crack about the almighty Clenis. You can also tell he thinks the latter are stale by his delivery.
Now that he's gotten quite rich, I wouldn't hazard a guess as to what's more important, tax cuts or his country. Six years ago, it would have been tax cuts, no contest. Now, I have no clue.

7. I saw him in Eugene, Oregon, years back. |

Alas I was with a date who intimidated me so much that I drank too much during dinner and was nearly insensible during the show. One of those incidents of the past that I wish I could take back. You hear that Dave? I'm sorry I misbehaved...

|
But I don't know how he feels about shubya and the rest.
Arnie ran as a moderate Dem out here, btw.

What? I thought he was a moderate republican, at least lately. Color me surprised.

really, out here, everyone that runs for state office is a moderate of one flavor or another. I would rate Arnie as moderate dem. or a very moderate rethug.

14. I just looked at your link. |
|
I am totally surprised. I gave up watching him a few years back because he seemed to favor the conservative point of view. Playing to an audience he assumed was conservative? It's possible and I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt just because it seems odd that anybody who makes a living thinking about/making fun of human beings and their foibles, might be a numb repuke. Thank you, dear fellow, for that link. :)

18. Jay Leno is a comedian |
|
Why read so much into the jokes he makes? When Clinton was in office he made constant jokes about him. The same with Bush. He just makes fun of everyone. Lets not always be so high strung about whether someone is left or right. People sound like Bill O'reilly when they do that: "No middle ground you are either a culture warrior or a social progressive". Just enjoy the humor. Whether it is for or against your views. If you are looking a left leaning talk show host at that time of the night tune into David Letterman but he is not quiet as funny.
