Will some Republic Senators vote with the Democrats?
In light of the mood in the country and the Democratic victories in the House and Senate, and knowing that BushCo. and the Neocon agenda is in ruins, will some of the less ideologue and moderate members side with the Democratic majority on some issues?

Even if it is only to save their sorry political careers, I feel that some may use their votes to put distance between themselves and the failed Republic administration. They may thumb their noses at Bush with impunity and get away with it now.

George Voinovich from Ohio comes to mind. Looking forward to the next election, he may see a Democratic ticket that sweeps the rest of the Republics out of office, unless they prove to the electorate that they are no longer marching lockstep with the far right wing of the Republic party.

Time to start pounding a few wedges into the cracks in the wall.

1. I like how you're dropping the "can" just like they drop the "ic"

And of all people, they most certainly can NOT, so it's fitting!

4. Hey, I was wondering this very thing tonight talking to my sister. As
you say, even if it's just to save their sorry political careers, I can see this happening now. New ballgame as of today, praise be - the rug's been yanked out from under these arrogant bastards, and they are left shaky and vulnerable...cool!

5. It would be nice to marginalize Lieberman
with the vote from Republic defectors, and make the need for his vote irrelevant.

7. I think the Maine senators might be more likely to put some votes with the dems
They came close a few times, and actually voted with them several times.
