Here's their Play: Cheney Retires...
Darth steps down in 3-6 months due to heart issues.

Shrub nominates a very centrist Pub to VP. Then that person would be positioned for 2008.

So, who would it be?

4. Whoever, it doesn't matter . . . if
we can keep and INCREASE our control of Congress.

Next cycle we need enough seats to insure the ability to overrule a veto.

8. Just another reason
to not impeach the SOB, I agree with the poster that said Mc Cain would be the likely man to replace Cheney, if Dubya is forced out of office it make for an electable incumbent. I am not saying he should not face some sort of legal action or trial but, Saddam wasn't in power when he was tried either. Wonder how many globally would disapprove of *'s hanging?

9. Any centrist would be a sacrificial lamb
because the fundies will not vote for a centrist.

Whoever they choose would be another nightmare, another dimwit who can speak in fundy code like Stupid does, if they want to win.

My guess is that they'll run somebody who doesn't have a prayer in 2008, blame Democrats for all the fallout from Stupid's ridiculous tax cuts, wars, and general fiscal irresponsibility, and position Jebbie for a 2012 run.
