Anything Good We Accomplish... |

will also be attributed to, or at least included in, the so-called "Legacy" of the utterly worthless occupant of the White House. It's a shame that he will get any credit for whatever we now 'force' him to do.
Of course, we are the ones who will catch the blame for any unfortunate outcomes despite the fact that any such failures will almost certainly have been caused by either the Bush Administration or the remaining considerable power of the Republicans in Congress. This is all the more true if we really end up with "control" of the Senate.
In any case, we're in a tough position... and while it's an unfair test (thanks to what the Republicans have wrought since 2000, and our modest majority), both difficult and tricky, but I think we just may be able to come out of this as big winners for the 2008 elections. Much depends on how well our elected Democratic leaders can play the game; it may require some real "hardball"--and I'm not so confident our leaders can or will do that... Any thoughts?

I tend to think about the least common denominator, since that's who we are fighting. The corporate media has a lot of control over the way people think, but people are better informed today and into the future. I am optimistic because I think that ideology will be the main focus. As long as media executives are unable to control discourse on the internet we should be fine.

Minimum wage increases were approved across the board. We have clout to raise to a degree that it matters.
I don't think the wing flakes that remain will get in the way of that bus.
