1. Poppy has definitely come out of retirement...
...and taken charge of the family business again. Shrub must be a terrible disappointment to him. Oh, well, there's always Jebby.

2. Bite your tongue
:scared: NO MORE BUSHES

I feel the same about Hillary. Aren't we tired of the same old cast. Bush, Clinton, Clinton, bush, bush, Clinton?

3. Half of the term, anyway. And no Dan Quayle!
Oh, wait, junior's just as stupid.

5. Yes, I remember those, too! LOL!
I wondered for a long time why Poppy would pick a lightweight like Quayle. It made no sense. And then junior arrived on the scene in Texas and it all became very clear. The dimwitted Danforth reminded Poppy of junior.

14. I always figured that Little Danforth was Poppy's insurance policy.
"Yeah, I may suck, but look who's gonna be the Prez if you kick MY ass out of office!"

Sort of a choice between dumb and REALLY dumber...:banghead::yoiks:

6. I guess Republicans no longer understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child
It's too bad. Also, the price of potatoes is ridiculous these days.

9. Frankly, between a second term for Bush I and a second term for Bush II
I'd take a second term for Bush I in a heartbeat. And I don't think many of you all would disagree.

10. I fully agree!!!
Daddy Bush wouldn't be my first choice in a million years, but at least he knew how far NOT to go into an Iraq quagmire. Sonny-boy is NUTS!!!

And I would never have imagined saying anything in favour of idiot Quayle, but even he was a better VP than devil-incarnate Cheney! (Incidentally, one of my memories of Daddy Bush's administration, is of hearing a radio news announcer state that "Bush has been criticized by conservationists for shooting quail" - and thinking "hmm, that sounds interesting, is such a prize idiot an endangered species?")

11. Says a lot...

that in comparison to his son, even Bush Senior comes off looking like a Churchillian statesman and a George Washington-esque pillar of integrity. (And of course, this comaprison is the only context in which those adjectives could ever be applied to Bush I...)
