I sent this letter

I sent this letter with appropriate modifications to my three
congressional office holders. It would be good if we all sent
something similar to all our Democratic congresspeople. No
time like the present to start holding their feet to the fire.

Dear Senator or Representative,
Congratulations on your victory in the recent election.  It
now appears that your victory along with others will give the
Democrats a majority in the Senate(or House). I want to take
this time to tell you, that as a constituent, I want  to see
big changes in the way congress operates. I expect Democrats
to stand up for the middle class, fight corruption, end the
war in Iraq and return our constituional rights. Half measures
will not be satisfactory. Many times in the past Democratic
congress people have helped the current  criminal
administration do great damage to the people and institutions
of our country. This may have been the politcally expedient 
way in the past, but it is now the time  to stand up and
fight. The executive branch may still resist you, but you 
still have to make the effort. The past is the past and I have
every confidence you can do what must be done, but if  the
Democrats fail to live up to the mandate we the people have
given you, I will again be joining others to effect more
changes in our delegation in  Washington.
