Will he attempt to totally screw this country before January? (Not that he hasn't already.)

1. HE can't get anything through
We can just filibuster and dare them to use the nuclear option. They won't touch that issue NOW!

4. He may try, but he will fail
There is power even in power not yet granted. There are moderate republicans still left in Congress running for their lives, and all we need is one on any given crazy item they try to push. We can also promise favors in Jan for help in December, and Bush can also be threatened with problems should he try something stupid. Finally, we can filibuster. The Repukes sure the hell aren't going nuclear now.

5. no. I might have thought so before

but since Daddy (or Baker or Dick or someone) made him fire resign Rummy, I think it finally came home that he has been screwing the pooch for too long. The bubble has popped. I think he finally knows (because someone told him...) that America is not happy with him or his party. To bull through at this point - even though he has done 'stupider' things - would be a mistake that other conservatives won't let him do.
