Presidency is on Feingold's mind
In the wake of widespread Democratic election gains and voter unrest over the Iraq war, Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold said Wednesday he will spend the next few days mulling a run for the presidency in 2008 and could make a decision soon.

The Middleton Democrat has gained national attention for being an early and vocal opponent of the Iraq war and for successfully pushing campaign finance reform with Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., also a potential presidential candidate.

Feingold was one of 23 senators to vote against going into Iraq, the first to call for a troop withdrawal and the only senator to vote against the Patriot Act.

This year, he introduced a resolution to censure President Bush for authorizing a wiretapping program Feingold said was in violation of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and for misleading the public about it.

4. Russ, be Al's VP first, ok ?
Please? You can spend 8 years learning from the best, building more alliances, and gaining more clout, and then when Al retires, it's all yours, baby!

Please?
