Reconciliation, bi-partisanship - like friendship and love are offered
not requested, or even mandated.

I was watching an earlier show on MSNBC and that Nora something was really bashing the Democratic consultant - Cliff something - about how would Pelosi be able to sit with Bush after the "mud slinging."

And Dan Bartlett - I think - also lectured Cliff about the need for reconciliation.

Where were he when the Republicans ruled? When they, and their evangelicals supporters claimed that they had a mandate, or a capital, to turn this country to the dark ages, to run it into bankruptcy and to keep sending men and women to Iraq as if they were expendable?

I am glad that the next speaker will be a woman. Not to stereotype anyone, but women, in general, do not go through life trying to prove that their dick is the largest, their testosterone level is the highest, their "score" is remarkable and never, never, concede or compromise on anything, seeing this as harmful to one's manhood.

1. It's not what they SAY, it's what they DO
And right off the bat this morning, they're re-engaging the war on Democrats. It's in play and will go right over the heads of the media.

2. That's right...
We will be bipartisan. We will ask for everyone's opinion before we weigh all the options and make a rational, sound, well though-out decision. Not because we aren't tempted to do to your party what has been done to ours for the past six years. That would be all too easy to let you get a taste of your own medicine. No, it's much more difficult rise above the pety inclination for revenge and to do the right thing. We will work together in a spirit of harmony because we want to show everyone in the world the way it's supposed to be done. Your party earned the severe chastizing it received last Tuesday. If our party were to go the same route, it would deserve the same. United we stand. Divided we fall. I think you've prooved that all too well.
