21. I hate to be a wet blanket, but
that's what I said about Bush in 2000. I was hoping with all my heart he'd get the nomination because I didn't think he could take Texas after what he did to it, much less the nation.

Yeah, I know it was stolen. I know Gore got more votes. But I expected a landslide. It taught me a lesson. Not right away, of course. When he was elected, I said, "Well, no sweat. How much damage can he do in 4 years?" YIKES!!!

5. This is the guy who couldn't even win in Pennsyltucky.
He'll never win in national politics.

(Pennsyltucky, for those of you not from PA, is the big stretch of central Pennsylvania that's much like the south in political leanings but that has better roads.) :)

10. Every repuke that lost is being touted as presidential candidate
material. I heard the same thing said about Allen. Neither of the thieves has a chance in hell.

11. Holy shit - no, no, NO way - this is the guy who said that we can't be trusted
to decide what to do IN OUR OWN BEDROOMS, straight OR gay. And then there was that bestiality thing re: gays too. He's off his rocker.

16. Nixon was beaten in '62 and not that badly
Santorum took a bath Tuesday.

Only in the alternate reality of the neoconservatives/Christian Right would a fellow who lost a statewide election with 37% of the vote be considered presidential material.

18. Isn't Ricky damaged goods?
He just got crushed in his home state, and his politics were the kind that got rejected.

Nixon lost to Pat Brown by 51.9 - 46.9 (1.2 went to a minor party candidate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_gubernatorial_election%2C_1962

Santorum lost 59-41. Big difference.

19. Mr. Morality Czar - wants Santorum for President? Amazing.
Let him run with George Allen - then the public will learn two things - how ultra phoney they are in their self-proclaimed relisious sanctity and the true strength of the religious right - about 33% and dropping.

It's very obvious to learn Bennett's true role in the Bush House - making sure the religious right has the Bush House covered for their fetus, gay, rapture, and ten commandment purposes.

23. You'd have to be crazy to run "Mandog" Santorum.
Once people hear the story about him taking the miscarried baby home from the hospital and passing it around, making each of his children hold it so they would "know" their little sibling...

That'll convince most people I know that you're nuts.

24. I have a solution. Why doesn't Dobson take his 'value voters' and
form another party, then they can run a Santorum/Bennett or maybe Santorum/Haggard ticket?
