Still A Democrat, Joe Says, To Preserve Seniority (hasn't learned a thing)
http://www.courant.com/news/politics/hc-lieberman1109.artnov09,0,2242303.story?page=1&coll=hc-big-headlines-breaking

Lieberman said exit polling showed him winning only 25 percent of the Democratic vote; his victory was due to the support of unaffiliated and Republican voters.

Lieberman, 64, is poised to become the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee if Democrats regain the majority. Official results from Tuesday give Democrats a 50-49 majority, with the race in Virginia undecided.

The senator said he remains opposed to imposing a deadline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

What we are doing now there is not working, but that doesn't mean in any sense that it is time for us to retreat," he said. "This is a test in a very difficult and dangerous hour in our history."

He has not learned a thing!!!!! the usa wants out and thinks it is a waste of money, time, and lives on all sides and that diplomacy is the way to peace not bombs and bullets -

1. Neither Has Harry Reid
So he's got 2 years, and then we get a veto proof majority in the Senate. Then Joe can kiss off.

5. Liberman is not a Democrat
why should he retain this seat? He is not a part of the majority and the Democrats owe him nothing.

6. Dems need Holy Joe
to caucus with them in order to control the Senate. In exchange, Joe will keep his seniority and probably get a chairmanship.

It's "win-win" so that we can have checks and balances on the DictatorTot.

7. That is pure Bull
The only thing you can count on is Joe sucking face with the GOP. He has not helped the Democratic party for years and is not about to begin now. Screw Jo. We can balance this out without him. I'd trust a moderate Repub over Holy Joe anyway. At least they have scruples, Joe has none.

8. It is not bull
that the Dems need Joe to agree to caucus with them for the Dems to have control. Holy Joe is counted IN with the Dems' Senate total.

He does not have to VOTE with the Dems and probably will not a lot of the time. But by agreeing to caucus, he gives the Dems the Senate.

This is not bull. It is fact.
