3. Hopefully it dies before the new senate
Lieberman has already said he'd vote to approve him and McCaskill has said she'd probably do so.
I think he'll also get the support of both Nelson's, Salazar and hagel.

8. McCaskill doesn't get to vote for
him in this session. She doesn't get sworn in till next year.

11. That's why I'm hoping it gets voted on before the new senate
I know Chafee will block it in committee.
If the nomination is stalled until the new Senate takes over, I don't know what'll happen.

7. Oh, no, he didn't!! Really?? What an asshole, it ain't gonna work.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,228498,00.html

Linc Chaffee said "No fucking way." This is DELUSIONAL on Bush's part, and it IS a great big "FUCK YOU" that will come back to bite him in the ass. Bush is just trying to show what a tough guy he still is, but it smacks of being a petulant child, instead:

The White House sent Bolton's nomination to the Senate on Thursday morning, and can try to ram through a hearing, but they are only able to do so much given the outcome of the election and the inability to get 60 votes to stop a filibuster if a Bolton consideration were to sent to the Senate.

"We'll find out if we can get him confirmed. We know what the vote tallies are," White House Press Secretary Tony Snow said Thursday morning, calling Bolton "a very accomplished and capable U.N. ambassador."....If he chooses, President Bush can re-appoint Bolton during the congressional recess, a senior Republican aide who is an expert on parliamentary procedure told FOX News. But the ambassador won't get paid until he is confirmed by the Senate.

Bolton could be named to another U.N. post in order to ensure that he gets a salary, the aide said.

12. Bolton
Bush has to push him through the lame duck congress otherwise In the new Congress he likely wouldn't get out of committee. That Is the power of Majority.

17. Wow! What "bipartisanship" he displays! Just like all the other times...
I wonder, in another show of "bipartisanship", whether the repukes will lock the Democrats out of all committee rooms and lock the doors when they vote for the remainder of their sorry ass terms?

Seems very "bipartisan" to me.

NOTE TO DEMS: Don't EVER even THINK of NOT giving the repukes EXACTLY what they gave you! TREAT THESE SCUM EXACTLY AS THEY HAVE TREATED YOU FOR THE PAST TEN YEARS...
