Buchanan on MSNBC: "Pelosi didn't win a mandate. She's a San Francisco Democrat" |
|
Huh?
Talk about a non-sequitur!
These people are so caught up in their RW talking points they've become incoherent!

1. When did San Francisco get kicked out of the country? |
|
And can the same procedure be applied to Texas?

9. awww....& our State House just picked up more Dem seats too & we sent a Dem in DeLay's old seat. |
|
Nick Lampson just contributed to re-taking the US House of Reps.
And Dallas County just flipped BLUE (one of the most conservative areas of the state). They got something crazy like 22 freaking Democratic JUDGESHIPS!
We're not a Blue Haven to be sure, but be nice to your TX Dems at least....

20. but in a different seat |
|
there were 6 dems running. if the party went with just one, the dems would have taken that seat too (in south texas)
still cannot understand why, even in a so called special election, there were 6 democratic candidates.

21. That was a special election due to the Supreme Court decision on redistricting. |
|
The gerrymandering of that district made it in violation of the Voting Rights Act.
The decision threw that seat into a late free-for-all, with a runoff coming up soon.
It was a unique situation and will be resolved in the runoff.

2. Buchanan is a bitter, sorry, anti-semitic, poor excuse for a human being |
|
He needs to crawl back into his bunker and listen to listen to his collection of Hitler speeches until the Grim Reaper comes for him.

It is nice to know that you have to be of a particular political affiliation before the idea of a mandate comes into play. :eyes:

Bush didn't win a mandate. He's a Texas Republican.
Makes about as much sense! (And by the way, I don't think he did win a mandate.)

11. After 12 yrs of hearing how they had to vote GOP because Dems were the Enemy |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 06:34 PM by kenny blankenship
(the Godless, the Socialist, the Terror-hugging, and the Homo-loving Enemy)
--and after 12 years of giving Republicans absolute power--as they were told they had no alternative to do else--the people have finally sided with the ENEMY.
They have turned to "the enemy" in desperation to free themselves FROM PEOPLE LIKE YOU, Pat Buchanan, and the Republican Party. They have given you the power that you said you had to have for your policies to work, they have endured One Party Government and a permanent state of Emergency, they have seen the reality of Republican Party Rule --and they have declared it a NIGHTMARE.
So from the very height of power, the Republicans have been overthrown by a people in REVOLT.
That's a fucking MANDATE, Pat. None of our incumbents lost, we took the House and even the Senate, the majority of Governorships and State Legislatures. A mandate for change doesn't get any stronger than this.

and positive energy than any of them could stand.
does anybody here remember something about it being okay for the terrorists to hit SF? I have a vague recollection of one of the reichwing pukes saying something like that, but don't remember the exact quote, or the creature spewing it.
