And before that Harrison...over 100 years ago. It's quite remarkable.

So beside Vilsack and Richardson, who are the Dem governors who might be in the running. I know it's very soon still, but it makes me wonder.

1. I mention this every chance I get...
... folks don't want to elect "washington insiders" for president. And that is not likely to change now, when the approval rates for "washington politics" is at an all time low.

6. I had the pleasure of seeing Rendell speak at a rally in
Bucks County with Casey and Murphy (who also kicked ass) and shaking his hand afterwards. He is a great speaker and an experienced politician who can certainly carry PA. I would love to see him run for Pres or Vice Pres.

10. The stats are stunning: want to win President? DON'T nominate a Congressman.

11. Do not nominate a Senator especially. They always have records that
can be shown to "have voted for it before they voted against it". Aside from all else this is a big reason not to promote Sen. Clinton's candidacy. Senator's DO NOT win (except the remarkable John F. Kennedy).

Gotta go with a Governor or a private citizen like Gore (long removed from Senate) or Clark.

Let the GOP nominate Sen. McCain...please, please. I can't imagine a bigger target with a longer, more easily exploited public record of hypocrisy and "flip flopping".
