Just now on MSNBC - What the hell is wrong with her!!!

Even Tweety didn't agree with her! He said "why would a leopard change his stripes" as reaction to her characterization of Bolton! She said something like "Prez is probably right about him, he'll do well in the UN! ?????

No, give her time. Maybe it is a good sign that she
does not know anything that's going on in International affairs.

6. that's not the way I interpreted it.
I thought she was giving a standard "look how bipartisan I am" disclaimer by declaring that she was inclined to give the president leeway on appointments. But then she went on to qualify it by saying she would have to talk to him and make sure blah, blah, blah...

It didn't sound to me like she was committing to support Bolton at all, just that she wanted to look like she was giving thought to an important decision

I could be wrong, but I'm not jumping to conclusions.

7. In all fairness to her...
she also said that she wasn't so much interested in Bolton's "reputation" so much as what he's done while at the UN, and also that the president deserves to have certain appointments approved.

Sounds pretty level-headed to me. Especially since she didn't say she WOULD support him.

She's still so green, she's never even been in the senate chamber in her life, once it comes time to vote I'm positive she'll make the right choices.

9. Think of that son-of-a-bitch in Florida in 2000
"I'm John Bolton, and I'm here to stop this count!" He's as foul as it's possible for a human being to get. But I'm inclined to give senator-elect McCaskill plenty of leeway. She'll have plenty of time to stop being giddy after she's sworn in in January 2007.

17. YEah, that too!
We'll have to get DUers in Missouri to write letters and calls to plead with her to reconsider since they voted her in. :)

12. Yes let's smear the new senator-elect
Not all senators can represent states like New York and Rhode Island. She has to be moderate/conservative on some things.

18. With all due respect, the Bolton nomination is merely symbolic.
It does not have material impact. Ambassadors merely reflect the policies of the administration so consequently anything we get for the next two years will suck balls.

of the world. Confirming him would not exactly be a good message to send to them that our policy is going to change.

Seeing a rookie Dem not understanding that is worrisome. I hope she will learn fast. She seems an intelligent woman.

Even Lieberman understood that last year.
