It's amazing that Dems hold the 3 most important state/federal office in Montana |

Dems now have both senators and a governor from that state. And this is a state that has kept going red for a while. Though Clinton won it, it was likely because of Perot's appeal.
These are the keys to the party's ongoing success nationwide. It's amazing.
In fact, I'll go ahead and say I like what I've heard from all the new Dems elected to the senate. I'm sure I'll disagree with them at times, but thank God the likes of Allen, Santorum and Burns is gone.

1. Montana's Better Than You Might Think |

I've always had a warm spot in my heart for Montana. Some parts are nasty - but many parts are filled with excellent folks (an I'm a Massachusetts Liberal!). It's not at all like certain other states, which are quite scary...

2. THe mountain conservatism |

is certainly quite different from the creepy fundie conservatism in say the deep south.
There is definitely a libertarian streak there.

Don't let the effete Eastern media paint it deep red...it's not.
