1. The Gard defeat is indeed something to celebrate.
Along with Zien's crash & burn display.

Too bad we couldn't take down Sensenbrenner.

2. I had to chance to punch Gard's lights out once...
I was waiting for a bus near the Capitol in Madison when I saw John Gard and an assistant leave a bar and walk towards me. I gave him a maddening stare as he approached me. He looked like a scared little boy and switched sides with his assistant (a young woman) so that she was his shield from some big, bad looking muthuh...

I really, really wanted to just walk into his path and cold cock the stupid little prick, but just let him go by. He looked behind as he walked by like a little cake-eating girl...

I'm am SO glad he lost...and I'm actually glad he cried in his spilt milk about his loss. Chimpy, Pickles and Shooter had visited him a bunch of times...and the wanker still lost!

3. Wow. My wife and I were just talking about how much he was hated by people
not even in his district. We heard people dishing him a soccer match just the other night.

4. In my neck of the woods, his defeat was a bright spot!
I was happy about most of the state results, and I celebrated Tammy Baldwin's trouncing of Magnum, but I was very saddened by local races that went to Neanderthal republicans(especially "doc" Hines winning over the very qualified Tim Henney)and the dismal results of the two questions on the ballot. (Can anyone say Dark Ages?) But, when I discussed this disappointment with others we all brightened when we reminded ourselves that "GARD LOST!!!!" Plus, he's no longer in the Assembly--so that's a Win/Win! Double YES!

5. Thanks for that link. It's a great article.
We were absolutely swamped by Gard signs around here and, needless to say, were THRILLED to get him out of Wisconsin politics.
