Loser GOP yard sign swap - collect them all! |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-10-06 11:07 PM by osaMABUSh
I have this slightly strange habit of collecting political yard signs. Strange in that I don't collect Dem signs or winners' signs but collect for my Wall of GOP Losers. This year with the historic Blue sweep of Congress and the wake of losing GOP candidates across the nation I'd like to expand my collection outside my home state of PA. I have some Santorum (Sen.), Mellissa Hart (PA-04) and Lynn Swann (Gov.) signs. If you'd like to swap just send me a note so we can exchange mailing addresses. Most signs are sheet plastic that can be rolled up for cheap and easy mailing.
They are easy to get just drive around your town and pick them up. Don't worry if anybody sees you as they will assume you are some GOP volunteer just cleaning up. Better hurry though as they are disappearing - in my town there is a $5 fine for any sign still up a week after the election.
I am particularly interested in the scandalous House seats and the other five critical Senate races that we won.

I turn them inside out, re-staple them to their wire holders, paint "Impeach Bush" on them, and then plant them in various selected places throughout the remainder of the year. It's always fun to see how long some of the last. Of course, I always plant them in the middle of night, sometimes in the middle of a swampy field near a busy highway. One of my favorite things to do is plant them in a neocon's yard when that family goes away on vacation.

in the front of businesses that have closed. I stuck a Bush/Cheney sign in one empty store back in 04, but ended up feeling guilty for both taking it, and giving it more eye coverage in an empty window since nothing else was there...at the time i thought it was a good idea.
i was going for the irony effect dp
