Being completely honest we DO have some grand plans, and that's good. I thought we were going to rescind Bush's tax cuts on the top 1-2% and that would help even things out but now I'm hearing that they just won't renew them in 2010. A) How do we pay for what we want until then? B) Waaaay too much can happen before 2010.

1. Redirecting a fraction of the money spent on destroying Iraq |
|
and then paying Halliburton and Bechtel to "rebuild" it again would be a start.

2. We should at least force a vote on rescinding it now |
|
I'm sure Bush will veto it. And get all the Republicans voting for it on record.

3. I'm not sure the elected ones will do this, but Dean said the Dems |
|
were going to eliminate the oil subsidy, and reverse the hugh tax cuts that were given to the oil & pharma industries. I heard him repeat itquite a few times. Somehow, I can't believe he would have said it so often if that wasn't on the Dems list somewhere. That's a big chunk of $$, and it will sure help a lot in being able to service the other things the Dems have promised.
I don't think I'm the only one who believes they're going to do it either. The Pharma stocks have dropped some value in the last 3 days!
